Melbourne Gluten Free Restaurants
I figure I should start keeping notes, since there seem to be a lot more coeliac cases these days - and people who just don't like wheat.
- Sally's Kitchen on Exhibition St always has a few GF options on the menu, usually the better options (not just risotto!).
- Restaurant Dansk at Denmark House understand Gluten Free and the menu typically has plenty of options. Rugbrød is served on the side with many dishes but doesn't provide a cross-contamination problem.
- Spiga at Melbourne Central does GF pizza.
- Nando's is actually GF, including chips etc.
- Hooked on Brunswick St does GF fish & chips, including a dedicated GF fryer and GF batter.
- Blue Stone on Flinders Lane cater to GF.
- Mrs Parma's on Little Bourke do GF veal/chicken/eggplant parmas and stock GF beer.
- Shoya has a high-end Japanese gluten-free menu.
- Carlton Curry House on the city end of Lygon St do GF Indian, including gluten free naan.
- La Triskel on Hardware Lane does buckwheat (GF) French crepes.
