Description
It's actually a SAS controller with SATA ports. IOC, fast, PCI-X 133Mhz - all the goodies.

Just about every operating system.
This is one of the few SATA controller options for Solaris on SPARC. The itmpt driver from LSI is supported on OLD Solaris, not just 10 - and the modern Solaris mpt driver by James is pretty damn good.
